This paper concerns the study of interaction layers originated from the contact of molten Ni-alloys with alumina ceramic moulds, cores and crucibles. The influence of porosity of ceramics, pressure of ambient atmosphere and composition of the alloy on nature and intensity of interaction between metals and ceramics is discussed and the interaction mechanism is proposed.
