Acoustic emission method - the future tool for evaluation of damage degree of cyclic loaded materials
Original language description
Experimental results introduced in this contribution show some possibilities that can be supposed from utilisation of acoustic emission method (AE) in the area of detection of the process of damage of cyclically loaded materials. Using the basic way of AE signal processing it is due to the AE burst rate and due to the summarisation of AE burst count. Based on analyses of another information included in the AE signal (frequency, shape of events, energy and similar) it is possible to make far more detaileed analyses of material and structure state at the area of fatigue and contact fatigue measured on simple test machines.
