CFD Analysis of a Turboprop Engine Nacelle
Original language description
The purpose of this paper is to present the preliminary CFD computation of a LET L-410 engine nacelle equipped with Walter M-601E turboprop engine. The task was to estimate the nacelle fluid characteristics at a set of chosen control planes. The computation is a part of an optimisation process focused on the increase of performance and reduction of losses in the 'engine-nacelle' system. The process of creating suitable computational 3D domain, in the preparation of inputs required by the solver, was thee most time consuming part due to the geometric complexity of the problem. A problem with flow separation in the input section has occurred as the particular result. This project is supported by MIT CR.
