Computational modelling of dynamic behaviour of a pump for special liquids

  • Original language description

This contribution is focused on the interaction of rigid body with thin fluid layer. Long and short, cavitating or noncavitating journal bearings can be some technical applications. Governing equations for this analysis are the Navier Stokes eq., continuity and boundary conditions. Theoretical base of a new approach to the analysis of dynamic behavior of nonstationar analysis in time and frequency domains is presented. This totally new approach is based on separation of shaft and liquid layer from eachother. It is possible to determine, using this separation, the database of additional effects of fluid film, such as function only of one shaft parameter, which can be a shaft center position. The Bézier body is used for the approximation of geometricalconfiguration and also for approximation of solution such as velocities and pressures. Method of control volumes is used by solution. Curvilinear co-ordinates are used by description of geometrical configuration and perpendicular co-ordin
