Original language description
The article presents a procedure of product warranty costs estimation in the initial stages of product life. Procedure based on the knowledge of reliability measures, which enables to estimate the warranty costs, is proposed. Procedure considers the product to be a system that consists of individual subsystems and items of specific nature of failure and specific failure repair process. Proposed procedure will enable suppliers to gain valuable information so they can make rational decisions related to warranty providing.

Czech description
Článek prezentuje postup odhadu záručních nákladů v počátečních etapách života produktu. Postup je založen na znalosti ukazatelů bezporuchovosti a umožňuje odhadovat záruční náklady. V postupu je produkt chápán jako systém sestávající se z jednotlivých subsystémů a prvků, které mají určitý charakter vzniku poruch a způsob odstranění poruch. Navržený postup umožní dodavatelům získat cenné informace, které jim umožní provádět racionální rozhodnutí související s poskytováním záruk.
