In machinery a shaft support with sleeve bearing is commonly used, where the whole assembly is also affected by vibrations (automotive gearbox, printing machines etc.). With specific condition, there can be non-standard behaviour of support which resultsin increased noise (drumming). Article deals with ways of this effect simulation partly with real physical model and also through mathematical model. The matter is design of experimental stand for support operating conditions simulation and selection ofsuitable software for mathematical model realization.
