Stable crack growth modelling in unidirectional fibre-reinforced britle matrix composites
Original language description
A weight-function-based approach is employed to modelling stable bridged crack growth in the chevron-notched three point bending specimen made of the glass matrix composite reinforced by long SiC fibres. A particular attention is paid to the selection ofan appropriate constitutive model of unidirectional fibre reinforced composite which is capable to capture the inelastic strain related to matrix microcracking and matrix/fibre interface debonding and frictional sliding.
