The measurement has filled very significant position in branch control. Measurement uncertainties are using for valuating of measurement precision in the time generally. These uncertainties are possible transfer to control and make provision for regulation result.

Každý regulační obvod musí být uzavřený, jeho zpětnou vazbu vytváří a potřebné informace do regulátoru dodává měřicí řetězec. Měření tak zaujímá velmi významné místo v oboru automatického řízení. V současnosti jsou pro hodnocení přesnosti měření používány zpravidla nejistoty měření. Tyto nejistoty lze přenášet také do automatického řízení a zohlednit ve výsledku regulace.
