Cast Ni base superalloys are known by long Stage I fatigue crack initiation, long early crystallographic fatigue crack propagation and inherent casting defects. These phenomena are closely related to the scatter of experimental fatigue life data. Fatiguecrack initiation in high-cycle region and its relation to casting defects was studied in cast IN 713 LC superalloy at tensile mean stress at 800 C in air. Three types of crack initiation were observed. The mechanism of crystallographic initiation is discussed in terms of cyclic strain localization in persistent slip bands

Czech description
Práca sa zaoberá výskumom iniciácie šírenia únavových trhlín liatej Ni superzliatiny IN713LC. Telesa boli namáhané vysokocyklovou únavou pri vysokých stredných ťahových napatiach, teplota testov bola 800 C . Boli pozorované tri typy iniciácie únavových trhlín, a to z povrchu telesa s kryštalografickou fazetou, vnútorná iniciácia z liaceho defektu s typickým fish eye a ich kombinácia.
