Valve Clearance Regard to Valvetrain Noise of Combustion Engines
Original language description
The measured data shows there are two local maximum in time record valve train noise. First of them is caused by valve clearance during valve opening time. The second one caused by fast speed impact valve to valve seat during valve closing time. There isa difference between both local maxims because, during valve opening, cam excites only part of the valve train. Whereas, during valve closing, valve impact to valve seat - cylinder head. Showed data was measured without standard aluminum valve rocker arm cover. That is why it was performed subsidiary measurement to demonstrate emitting noise with and without aluminum valve rocker arm cover. Valve train was greased by a non pressure oil.
