Original language description

An optimum choice of a technology for effective utilization of biomass and/or alternative fuel integrated into complex energy producing systems is subjected to economic requirements and strongly influenced by environmental constraints and targets. The key challenge was to build a stochastic programming model that allows us to find optimal decisions about the use of fuel of various types (fossil coal and renewable biomass) with respect to the different time horizons, various demands and uncertain futurewith respect to technology considered, and the existing equipment design.
