Evaluation of mechanical properties dependent on structure and porosity of Al alloys poured into gravity sand and die casting
Original language description
The structure and porosity of gravity sand and die castings of AlSi9Cu3 alloy were evaluated in dependence on mechanical properties. For several samples of gravity sand castings it has been shown that mechanical values (Rm) decrease with increasing porosity. The same trend (Rm, Rp0.2) holds for samples of gravity die castings. In gravity die castings the mechanical values decrease with increasing DAS values.
