System approach to risk assessment in safety assurance of machinery with regard to directive 2006/42/EC
Original language description
The ever-increasing legal requirements imposed on safety of machinery cause difficulties to enterprises which do not have sufficient personal resources for consistent implementation of this process. This paper presents (with regard to Directive 2006/42/EC) a simple and effective approach to realization and documentation of the risk assessment process in machinery with an emphasis on its transparency. Through its system approach it enables easy implementation into the design process with simultaneous elaboration of the instructions for use. This allows identification and assessment of all risks in all phases of the life cycle of a machine and application of appropriate risk-reducing measures.
