Analysis of Calibration Coefficients for Incremental Strain Method Used for Residual Stress Measurement by Ring-Core Method
Original language description
By using incremental strain method for residual state of stress determination, this article describes determination of the calibration coefficients K_1 and K_2 which are necessary for an analytical evaluation of principal residual stresses acting in every drilled layer. These coefficients are not determined only for the uniaxial state of stress (as is usual) but also for the plane state of stress with different magnitude ratios of principal stresses. By taking into account their dependence or independence on the type of state of stress could be confirmed or refused. The numerical model created for calculations by finite element method (FEM) has been used in this case. Values of determined calibration coefficients K_1 and K_2 have been plotted on a graph like a points in dependence on drilling depth and character to the residual state of stress. The curve described by an appropriate polynomial degree has been interposed by these points.
