Atlas of Materials Structures -
Original language description
Atlas of Materials Structures is a freeware program (free download, installation, use, transmit and distribution) developed with the aim to extend the subjects provided by the Institute of Materials Sciences and Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Brno University of Technology (IMSE, FME, BUT). The software developed was designed and is closely related to innovation of the IMSE subjects started two years ago. Within the application, there are more than 60 materials presented in detail (theirmicrostructures with individual phases description) and used methods are described (sample preparation, light and scanning electron microscopy). The knowledge testing interface, which can be used to create tests for students, is included as well. Two fundamental materials groups: Iron, steels and cast irons in the first of them and nonferrous metals and their alloys in the second one, are included. As a bilingual software (Czech and English) Atlas of Materials Structures can be used as a
