Growing expansion of industry has great environmental impact not only in the Czech Republic but also in the whole world. Substances such as phenol, formaldehyde, aromatics, which are liberated during casting to the no-bake moulding mixtures tied by organic resins, are harmful for environment and health of man. Therefore there is a search for a new binder system, which is technologically suitable and acceptable in terms of human health e.g. cement sand mixtures. Cement sand mixtures have a lot of lacks,which must be eliminated before their application. The aim of this work is to improve properties of self-setting mixtures cement - based moulding. There is also tendency to reach qualities of technologically best, but deleterious furan sands. Furan sandsare moreover very financially-intensive due to rising prices of resin. The work equates to different sorts of cements, furans and waterglass.
