    Subgrid Modeling In Large Eddy Simulation

  • Original language description

    This work is focused on the subgrid modeling in Large Eddy Simulation. The work contains the description of the most used subgrid models including Smagorinsky model, dynamic Smagorinsky model, subgrid kinetic energy equation model, dynamic subgrid kinetic energy equation model and mixed model. These chosen subgrid models are afterwards used for simulation of turbulent channel flow. The simulations were performed in open-source program OpenFOAM. The obtained results are compared with DNS data.
