Bulk Viscosity - Constitutive Equations
Original language description
The work is focused on the study of bulk viscosity of liquids. The methodology is based on non-equilibrium thermodynamics. Using its laws the irreversible stress tensor is derived and two viscosities depending on the strain rate tensor deviator and spherical strain rate tensor are defined. By analysis of pressure wave distribution, the bulk viscosity of water is determined.
