This article provides a short description of selected approaches of description of flow and deformation of non-homogeneous materials. It also deals with mathematical calculation related with described approaches, experiments, which can be realized in the Laboratory of non-homogeneous materials, and image processing methods used to process experimental data, which are in the form of images and video sequences.
