Unsteady model-based predictive control of continuous steel casting by means of very fast dynamic solidification model on GPU
Original language description
The aim of the paper is the development and testing of the model-based predictive control system for continuous casting of steel billets with an emphasis to unsteady casting situations, often accompanied by abrupt changes of the casting speed. Results show that the developed control system can offer an effective control method of the casting process and brings new control possibilities for continuous steel casting.
