The paper deals with one of the possibilities how to improve efficiency of recovery processes using the experimental road roller AMMANN AP 240 H. The recovery of braking energy can significantly contribute to fuel consumption lowering of heavy horse vehicles working in start-stop regime. The paper presents and evaluates the results of parallel measurement performed on the experimental vehicle using a short-circuit valve situated between high-pressure and low-oressure line .
