    The article focuses on philosophy of vibration diagnostics of Indexator hydraulic rotator. Following the analysis of the construction and machine function, defect frequency are calculated. Then vibration measurement system for technical diagnostic of the rotator is designed. According to vibration measured on the rotator type GV6 alarm limits for a new machine are proposed (the zones boundary between A and B).
