Analysis of technologies for sustainable development of renewable energy systems

  • Original language description

For increasing the efficiency of power generation, and to save energy there have been various strategies that include outspreading renewable energy resources in power grids. There have recently been great attentions to consider sustainability in the course of development of renewable resources. There are several technologies available in the renewable energy systems and there are several reviews of the technologies in the literature but there is lack of review with emphasis on sustainable development. In this paper the technologies that are used in the renewable energy systems are firstly reviewed, and then the considerations for sustainable development of such systems are analyzed and discussed. This research summarizes a body of literature about the renewable energy systems’ technologies and analyze sustainability of the systems. Analysis of the technologies that are related to the sustainable development of renewable energy systems plays significant role to attain better interpretation of smart city. This subject is fundamental to reach successful state of sustainability for future energy use. The discussions and conclusions that are drawn from this study are anticipated to be advantageous for both academics and energy strategy planners for realizing the sustainable development and smart cities. © ECOS 2019 - Proceedings of the 32nd International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems.
