Software for Noise Source Identification
Original language description
1-WP05-002 - Vibration and noise source identification software is used to analyze the vibrational and acoustic performance of centrifugal compressors. Based on a technical experiment, the software analyzes the obtained signal and compares it with typical manifestations of individual vibroacoustic sources in centrifugal compressors. A wide range of signal proccesing tools are available. The results are entered, analyzed and plotted in a graphical users environment.

Technical parameters
The software uses frequency analysis tools to process the vibroacoustic signal and compares the results with a database of typical vibration and noise manifestations of a centrifugal compressor. Both the kernel and the graphical environment are created in the Python programming language.
Economical parameters
This tool can be advantageously used for internal purposes of project participants in the form of vibration and noise analyzes of rotary machines. The software is intended for the development phase, preceding serial production, and therefore it is not possible to quantify with sufficient accuracy the direct economic benefits of its application. The benefit will be secondarily reflected in the higher quality of commercially offered products in observable parameters such as reduced vibrations and noise and their impact on nature, including humans. A significant benefit with difficult quantification of benefits is the reduction in time required for the product development phase due to the use of software. When testing prototypes, increased levels of vibration and noise can often be observed without obvious causes. The use of software will make it possible to identify the probable reasons for these causes, and thus shorten the verification operation of the prototype.
