The Prediction of Fatigue Life of Notched Specimens
Original language description
The contribution presents a method for lifetime predictions of components with notches. The method was developed using experimental data gained on smooth and notched samples and numerical analysis of notched specimens. The method employs approaches of generalized fracture mechanics and uses a critical length parameter. Emphasis is placed on the area of gigacycle fatigue.
