The Impact of the Steering Wheel Grip on Vehicle Control
Original language description
The aim of this contribution is the analysis of steering wheel control using signals from the steering wheel sensor. These signals can provide information about the intensity and directional movement of the steering wheel. This approach allows for valuable data to be obtained about the driver's steering style, such as how frequently they change direction, how quickly they react to changes in traffic, or how precise their steering control is. The results of this research can subsequently be used in the development of advanced assistance systems that can automatically recognize challenging situations on the road and adapt to the driver's needs. These systems can also be utilized to monitor the driver's health status and provide warnings when signs of fatigue or lack of attention are detected. Overall, the primary motivation behind this research is to enhance road safety and improve the driving experience by monitoring the grip on the steering wheel and analyzing its control.
