The result is a hydraulic cylinder for closing the nose landing gear of the L-39NG aircraft. The cylinder stroke is 220±1[mm] and the working pressure is p = 21 [MPa]. The cylinder is mainly made of 30ChGSA steel. Fatigue tests on samples show a possible change of material to 15-5PH H1025. System description: The hydraulic cylinder opens and closes the nose landing gear of the L-39NG aircraft. The landing gear cylinder is not under pressure when retracted. When the opening/closing sequence is started, the maximum pressure in the cylinder is 21 [MPa]. In the open position, the nose landing gear cylinder is constantly under pressure. The nose landing gear cylinder is not stressed by ground loads because the landing gear is equipped with a locking mechanism.
