Original language description
A numerical model of the nonstationary temperature field of a crystalliser and the continuously cast steel 200x200 mm billet was developed in order to optimize the uninterrupted flow of steel through a CCM. Practical application of this model resulted not only in an agreement between calculated and measured temperatures but also in the development of the numerical solution and a set of operational instructions for concasting. Numerical simulation is based on a explicit differential numerical method of Fourier-Kirchoff´s equation.
