Regression of fatigue curves using functions with graphs close to broken line,

Result description

Two new regresion functions for the regression of fatigue cuves were presented in paper - the former for high cycle range, the latter for the whole cycle range starting with tensile strength and finishing high cycle range. The former has two asymptotes in log-log fit - with negative slope in the range of low cycle fatigue and with zero slope in high cycle range. The corresponding to the former function goes very close to both asymptotes, only in the range of their intersection it deflects considerably. Thus this curve is very similar to classical fit of fatigue results - broken straight line. Deeper study of Bastenaire function has shown that it presents the same behaviour in log-lin fit.
