Simulation of Processes for Combustion of Alternative Fuels
Original language description
At present there is a demand for combustion of biomass and alternative fuels which enables to save fossil fuel. This is one of ways how to contribute to sustainable development which is based on utilising renewable sources of energy. Combustion of biomass can be considered as an economic source of energy even if obtaining and stocking of it is more complicated than in case of fossil fuel. Moreover, the units for combustion are usually larger and more expensive. However, the energy and environmental/capital trade-off is favourite because we usually use wastes from main production processes (as e.g. surplus of straw, waste wood) as a fuel. Simulation of units for combustion of selected types of fuel enables to compare various alternatives and make an evaluation. This approach is based on modelling and using our software TDW. for simulation of units for thermal disposal of wastes.
