Thanks to the flexibility of the GSM system and new standards implementation it is however possible to expand the GSM system to 2,5 generation system, that will enable data signal transmission with bit rates of tens or hundreds kbps The basic principlesof the new standards (GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE) are introduced.
