    Zooming of Medical Images by Wavelet Extrema Representation

  • Original language description

    We present an application of wavelet transform (WT) for interpolation of medical images. Our method is based on the wavelet extrema representation for zooming medical images. The images is decomposed by wavelet extrema representation, extended in thi s domain and then reconstructed to original domain by inverse WT. The localized edges are preserved while the areas of relatively small changes are smoothed. The developed algorithm has been tested on Visible Male Library of Visible Human Project, NL M, USA.
