Original language description
The paper deals with interpolation of 3D ultrasound images represented by time sequences of 2D B-mode scans. The method exploits fast 3D dyadic discrete-time wavelet transform with Symlet (symmetric Daubechies) basis functions. 3D implementation of t hewavelet transform allows zooming images with preservation of sharp edges for the following segmentation. Interpolation algorithm has been tested on images of isolated porcine heart.
