  • Original language description

Wireless data communication in the globally available 2.4 GHz frequency is more and more used not only in computer networks but in a communication between mobile phones and its peripheries and in industrial applications as well. The paper makes readers acquainted with standards, coding and modulation techniques that are used in the wireless communication in the 2.4 GHz band. The paper shows most frequent utilization of the wireless data transmission. In addition, it adverts to possibility of utilizing rradio-modems, which operate in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, for realizing industrial wireless networks.
