Electromagnetic emission frequency spectra
Original language description
Crack creation is accompanied by electric charge redistribution due to loosen chenical bonds. Electric charges on crack walls create dipole momentum and crack wall vibration produce time dependent electric and magnetic field. The electric signal is induced on metal electrodes and after its analysis information on the crack walls novement can be obtained. For crack length less than 1 mm electrical signal has a frequency higher than 2 MHz. In this paper the frequency analysis was performed in frequency baand up to 5 MHz.
