The Effect of Differential Driver Asymmetries on Common- and Differential-Mode Frequency Spectrum with Regards to EMC
Original language description
A frequency spectra determination of the common-mode signal and output differential signal due to differential driver asymmetries is presented. Compact general analytical expressions for the Fourier series are developed and evaluated for different parameter dependencies. This allows to study the influence of the driver time skew on the resulting differential-mode and common-mode signal, which is important for signal integrity and radiation analysis. It is found that with higher skew time the common-modee frequency spectrum considerably increases, whereas the differential-mode spectrum is less affected.
