This paper describes some approaches to using neural networks as adaptive controllers. We used two inverse adaptive neural controllers: ? Inverse controller with neural model of inverse plant dynamics ? Direct neural controllers and two controllers basedon conventional PID controller: ? PSD controller ? PSD controller tuned by neural networks All of them were implemented to MATLAB-Simulink with aspect of future implementation to programmable logic controller B&R. Their principle, advantages and diisadvantages were compared.
