In the paper, a data logger suitable for acquisition and monitoring of the absolute value of a time variable voltage is described. It is based on a Philips Semiconductors 16-bit single-chip microcontroller XA-S3. The data logger has been developed for power consumption monitoring at the switching station. The paper gives a description of a working principle, control and utilization of this device.
