Partial characteristics of radiation for thermal plasmas in H2O and argon

  • Original language description

Common arc plasma generators operate with electric arc stabilized by a gas flow. Mixture of argon and water vapour is used in hybrid plasma jets with liquid and gas stabilisation. Both argon and water plasmas are very intensively studied however there isstill lack of relevant data concerning plasma radiation emission and absorption with respect to complete line and continuous spectra. In the paper we deal with an application of the method of partial characteristics to the Ar and H2O thermal plasmas. Partial characteristics of radiation (Som and Sim) in the temperature range between 5000 and 35000 K at atmospheric pressure are compared for various plasmas of Ar and H2O.
