Comparison of linear and peristaltic pump for continuous flow methods

  • Original language description

The object of this work was a comparison of linear and peristaltic pump, their characteristics discovering and a decision on their suitability for continuous flow analysis (CFA). An amperometric biosensor was applied for the measurement and it was detecting a current response to hydrogen peroxide oxidization. The linear pump showed better characteristics for CFA. The peristaltic pump is also suitable, but its flow pulses make measurement evaluation more difficult. Optimal pump revolutions were set for continuous flow system. It was 200 rpm to 3000 rpm for the linear pump and more then 6000 rpm for the peristaltic pump.
