Original language description
This paper deals with a measurement of bit error rates in the DVB-T transmission system using the Gaussian transmission channel. All non-hierarchical modulation techniques (64-QAM, 16-QAM and QPSK) as well as all hierarchical modulation techniques (QPSKin non-uniform 16-QAM and QPSK in non-uniform 64-QAM) were examined. Measured bit error rate before Viterbi error correction (channel error rate) and after Viterbi error correction, with varying C/N ratio, are graphically expressed and the minimal C/N ratios needed for a successful transmission are compared to the values mentioned in the DVB-T specification.
