Economical Evaluation of Telecontrolled Switches in MV Distribution System Using the Costs of Penalty Payments
Original language description
The application of the telecontrolled switches in MV distribution systems is an effective tool for influencing the electricity supply continuity perceived by individual customers considerably. In this way, it is also a tool for reducing the possible costs of penalty payments resulting from breaching the customer's standards of electricity supply continuity. As the paper presents, inclusion of the costs of penalty payments into the economical evaluation of telecontrolled switches application leads to a different optimal solution when compared with the evaluation of the costs of energy not supplied. The comparison is based on a model example of an overhead MV distribution system. The paper considers two types of telecontrolled switches - reclosers and telecontrolled section switches. Monte Carlo simulation method is used to estimations of the reliability of the system before and after the application of the telecontrol. In the simulation, the process of successive restoration is approxim
