Original language description
This paper presents various kinds of precision rectifiers that employ modern active building blocks, such as current conveyors and current followers. These circuits eliminate errors arising from voltage drops across the rectifying diodes and remove problems with operational amplifier recovering during the input signal zero crossing. The properties of both half- and full-wave rectifiers are evaluated particularly as far as their precision and functionality at high frequencies are concerned. Comparative simulations in PSpice are provided and selected circuits are constructed and measured.
