Wireless Sensor Network Prototype in Virtual Automation Networks: Implementation and Coexistence Aspects
Original language description
Wireless sensor networks enable scalable, selforganizing, self-healing networks that can manage various data traffic patterns. They are fast gaining prominence in a multitude of applications including industrial communications and automation. This paperpresents the research and development activities carried out within the Virtual Automation Networks project towards realizing a wireless sensor network prototype and its implementation as well as its coexistence with other chosen wireless technologies.
