Various devices, for example electrometers, can be connected to the Internet by means of the communication unit. Thanks to the communication unit, remote acquisition of power consumption data is enabled. This article focuses on the design of the communication unit for remote data acquisition. The article also deals with the design and implementation of the authentication, secure data transmission, and transmission block integrity. Finally describes the system for testing robustness of the communicationunit.

Czech description

Komunikační jednotka umožňuje připojení různých zařízení, jako například elektroměr, do sítě Internet. a umožní tak dálkový sběr dat odebrané energie. Článek seznamuje s komunikační jednotkou určenou pro dálkový sběr dat přes Internet. Dále článek ukazuje zapojení a princip komunikace komunikační jednotky, navrženou metodu bezpečné autentizace, bezpečného přenosu dat a integrity zpráv. Za závěr popisuje implementaci navrženého řešení do modulu RCM 3700 a testování bezpečnosti.
