Original language description
The goal of the Regional PACS is to establish collaboration among hospitals with respect to archiving and use of medical multimedia data. Additionally, the project creates conditions for general access to medical imaging data. Usage of PKI for PACS usersauthentication can facilitate wider usage of both the system itself for storing of new medicine picture data. In general, the proposed MeDiMed project is clearly designed to support society-wide healthcare programs in the Czech Republic as well as programs implemented by other countries. The system is also supposed to serve as a learning tool for medical students of the Masaryk University as well as physicians in hospitals participating on this project.
