    Dynamics in LV Circuit Breakers

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with dynamic behaviour of LV circuit breakers during short circuit. A lot of circuit breakers have limitation capability. This capability is caused, among others, by fast disconnection of the breaker contacts. The rapid disconnection is achieved by electrodynamic forces. The first part of the article devotes the electrodynamic forces themselves. In the latter part dynamic behaviour is evaluated. The basic kinematic quantities (angle, angular speed, angular acceleration) are calculated bysolving the motion equation. The torque of the breaker spring is also taken into account.
