Original language description
The article describes the suppression of sound artifacts that are produced by some methods for noise reduction in sound signals. Two types of the most significant sound artifacts, which are produced when the half-soft parabolic method for the thresholding of DFT coefficients is used, are described in the text. These are the musical tone noise, which occurs in the processed signal and the crackling noise at the boundary-line between the segments in the time domain. In the article, methods for the suppression of these sound artifacts are proposed and the article is supplemented with the results of testing on recordings of music and speech.
