Simulation of Communication Switch Controlled by Neural Network
Original language description
Modern converged communication networks transfer all types of services from voice service, through data transport to videoconferences and multimedia services. Quality of Service (QoS) is very important in this situation. Main parameters for Quality of Service are packet delay, loss of packets, transport bandwidth and jitter. These parameters can be managed by packet priority. This paper describes communication active network switch, which is not controlled by classical sequential data processing or by classical parallel data processing, but by artificial neural network. Simulation environment MATLAB and Neural network Toolbox are used for switch simulation. The best results are with Hopfield neural network.
