Original language description
A second generation, completely redesigned version of embedded wireless system with speech recognition algorithm for an actuator control is presented. This work is partially based on experiences from designing a similar system we've developed and published earlier. The previous system was built on 16-bit microcontroller and IEEE 802.15.4 radio chip and with stress to low cost. But from our previous experiences we deducted that we can go much further in a cost reduction. A new system is based on 8-bit microcontroller and IEEE 802.15.4 radio chip was replaced with approximately 15 times cheaper RF ISM band radio chip. But still, the system network topology is scalable, decentralized, routable and self-configurable. It is maximally cost effective, highlyoptimized, low power, modular, fully functional solution without sacrificing reliability and efficiency.
